At Yield Movement & Physiotherapy we offer a range of group exercise classes including;

  • Group Matwork Pilates

  • Active + Agile: Chair & Floor Class

  • Sit + Strength: Chair only Class

Active + Agile

A physiotherapist facilitated, evidence informed class (using the Otago Exercise Program) which also incorporates mat/floor Pilates, strength exercises, and other chair-based exercises. This is a higher level class compared to Sit + Strength.

Information

  • 60-minute class, 1x / week in Bruce Rock

  • 6-week block

  • Minimum of 10 participants required

  • $50 for 6 weeks // $8.33/class

Participation Requirements

  • Medical/Health pre-screening completed

  • Independent mobility without a walking aid

  • Ability to get on/off the ground with the support of a chair

Sit + Strength

A physiotherapist facilitated, an evidence-informed class using the Otago Exercise Program for strength and balance exercises, whilst also incorporating other chair-based exercises. This is a lower level class compared to Active + Agile.

Information

  • 60-minute class, 1x / week in Bruce Rock

  • 6-week block

  • Minimum of 10 participants required

  • $50 for 6 weeks // $8.33/class

Participation Requirements

  • Medical/Health pre-screening completed

  • Ability to maintain a seated posture/position for approx. 60 minutes

  • Ability to stand independently with a walking aid
